Dear Golfer Friend,

It’s that time of the year again to begin preparations for our annual golf tournament and we are very excited that this is the 3rd year of our “Greg May Caritas Golf Classic”. Our 2nd annual “Greg May Caritas Golf Classic” in 2016 was a big success because of the generosity and support from our players and sponsors. The proceeds from the 2016 tournament alone covered the cost of food for over 2300 families in need. But we need to make our 2017 tournament even bigger and better and we still need your participation and support. This year the tournament will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course. We have room for 30 teams (4 players per team) and we would love to have a full tournament this year. The format for this year’s tournament will still be a 4 player per team, Florida Scramble, with each team using at least 2 drives and 2 putts of every player on that team during the round. Everyone gets a chance to contribute (either good or bad) to the team results. The starting time will be a 1:00 pm shotgun start with registration and lunch (included in the entry fee) beginning at 11:30 am.

Prizes will be awarded for:

1st Place = $100 Gift Certificate per player to Cottonwood Creek’s Pro Shop

2nd Place = $50 Gift Certificate per player to Cottonwood Creek’s Pro Shop

3rd Place = $35 Gift Certificate per player to Cottonwood Creek’s Pro Shop

9th Place = $25 Gift Certificate per player to Cottonwood Creek’s Pro Shop

15th Place = $10 Gift Certificate per player to Cottonwood Creek’s Pro Shop

Plus:

Caritas is a United Way agency and has been “providing urgent support to people in need in our community” for over 50 years. In addition to providing food, we also provide clothing, household items, prescription assistance, utility assistance and a Case Management Program trying to help folks become more self-sufficient and less dependent for urgent support.

So help us help others by getting your foursome together, completing the attached entry form and coming out on Friday afternoon, September 29 and having some fun with your friends while at the same time supporting a very good cause. Helping those in need will make you feel better even if you don’t hit the ball straight!
