Welcome
46,060 Central Texans do not know where their next meal will come from and over 30% of people in Waco live in poverty. Hunger is all around us with devastating consequences. For over 51 years Caritas of Waco along with countless donors and volunteers have worked hard to combat the hunger and poverty crisis in our community.
We serve 7 counties with our case management programs. Each designed to work with individuals and families to be lifted out of the grip of poverty.  Clients develop a plan of action and Caritas helps them achieve their goals such as GED classes, job training opportunities and assistance in applying for college admission and/or financial aid. We offer urgent assistance in the following ways: food, clothing, household items, utility assistance, prescription medication assistance, rent or mortgage assistance.
