Caritas helps families, individuals, and veterans in need through emergency services and case management programs.
Make A Donation
Caritas is able to provide hope to those in need, due to the generosity of community partners and donors like you. Before the pandemic, 26% of Waco families were living in poverty and unable to meet basic needs. Now, during this unprecedented time, more families than ever before, are needing assistance. Your support helps us provide people with not only hope, but food and other emergency services, and the case management resources needed to help them begin their journey out of poverty. Thank you for donating today to support our mission.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE TOGETHER

Caritas Fundraising Events

  • Caritas Golf Classic: Join us for our Charity Golf Classic to raise awareness about food insecurity and help us turn hunger into hope.
  • Feast of Caring: Our annual fundraising event that hosts local restaurants, businesses, and more.  With delicious food, desserts, a silent auction, and friends and family, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to help us raise funds to support our efforts.
  • Fan Club Help our community neighbors beat the heat as we fundraise to help provide box fans to those in need.

 

Community Events

  • H-E-B Help End Hunger: H-E-B’s across the state help local food pantries and banks in their local area, August-October. When checking out at your local H-E-B, look for the Help End Hunger tear-off pads at checkout and ask your cashier to add a $1, $3, or $5 donation to your grocery bill to benefit Caritas of Waco.
  • Food For Families: The largest one-day food drive in Texas. Held the Friday before Thanksgiving. Sponsored by H-E-B, KWTX, and Boy Scouts of America.
  • Stamp Out Hunger: Second Saturday in May, join United States Postal Service postal carriers in donating food.
  • SOS: Help feed children during the summer months when they no longer have access to free or reduced-price school meal programs.
